Watching the Scotiabank Blue Nose Marathon can be almost as memorable as running it.
Enthusiastic, cheering spectators will line the streets throughout Halifax and Dartmouth to watch runners and walkers from across the province, and around the world.

Saturday May 19, 2012: Doctors Nova Scotia Youth Run
Start + Finish Line
- New for 2012, the start line will be located on Sackville Street, near the south entrance to Citadel Hill, making any place on that side of Citadel Hill (south) a great place to watch uber-excited 3500+ kids take off on their 4.2k run/walk
- The Finish line is located just north of Duke on Brunswick, directly in front of Halifax Metro Centre. The north east corner of Citadel Hill offers outstanding viewing of the excitement at the Finish line.
Sunday May 20, 2012: 5k-10k-Half Marathon-Full Marathon Start + Finish Line
- New for 2012, the start line will be located on Sackville Street, near the south entrance to Citadel Hill, making any place on that side of Citadel Hill (south) a great place to view 9000’ish runners and walkers begin one of the 4 events
- The Finish line is located just north of Duke on Brunswick, directly in front of Halifax Metro Centre. The north east corner of Citadel Hill offers outstanding viewing of the excitement at the Finish line
Five Corners
- Just north of Citadel Hill, where Ahern, Trollope, Rainnie, Cogswell and North Park come together
Young Avenue
- Catch the Half Marathon and Full Marathon gang both heading to and from Point Pleasant Park
Maple Street – Dartmouth
- Find out why Maple Street is the most ‘loved’ hill on the route
Nantucket – Dartmouth
- Both east and west sidewalks will offer front row views of the 10k and full marathoners.

Here are Myles' 5 tips as a spectator to “Just Giv'er”
1. Decide who you want to cheer for and make a plan! Check out the website for the various events and race times...follow Team Myles members as they track their training up to race day.
2. Create a cheering sign to bring along with you on race day. Use words like "Lookin' Good!" or "Just Giv'er!"
3. Host a cheering party on you lawn. Make noise and have fun!
4. Check the morning weather and dress appropriately. Don't forget your sunscreen or sou'wester!
5. Travel on and around the course responsibly. Whether by bicycle or car, watch out for the runners!
And most importantly...MAKE SOME NOISE…!
