Inspired to Make a Change
Darren Czech's relationship with the Scotiabank Blue Nose Marathon isn't strictly sponsorship based. As a former member of Team Myles, Darren will be attempting not only The Half Marathon but use his participation as a catalyst for lifestyle change. "I knew it was time to make a change myself," Daren says candidly, "so a business relationship turned into an opportunity for me." Darren's involvement as a race participant is still in its infancy despite a relationship between Delta Hotels and the Blue Nose Marathon existing since the event's inception.
Making Smart Food Choices
Chef Doucet is all too familiar with the pitfalls of a hectic schedule. "You'd think a chef would take time to eat, but it's the opposite," he says. "You can grab a cookie or a brownie-you don't take time to eat [well] because you're running around." Anyone who has compounded their schedule by adding an exercise regimen can sympathize with the challenge of making nutritious food choices within a limited timeframe.
