Before your race, you've got to learn to run.Ever wanted to move beyond a walk into a run? For many of us, "learning" to run gives us an opportunity to develop technique, training strategies and minimize the opportunity for injury. The Scotiabank Blue Nose Marathon has partnered with Nubody's/Goodlife Fitness centres, to bring you the "Learn to Run for Blue Nose," program.
This four week program will cover running fundamentals like:
• How to progress from a walk to a run • Proper running posture and technique • The five golden rules of stretching • How to run relaxed • How to prevent injury
Additionally, it's an opportunity to join like-minded participants who are interested in starting a running program, or improving their technique and running "know-how." This workshop is four weeks in length and concludes just in time for the Scotiabank Blue Nose Marathon.
