RACE INFORMATIONFor 2010, the Half Marathon will once again be staged solely on the Halifax side and of course, the routings have been designed to again showcase the City of Halifax and the natural beauty of our city surroundings. Full marathoners and 10k'ers have the unique experience of crossing the Macdonald Bridge to and from Dartmouth. Special care and attention has been applied to the course design, especially in the area Halifax's historic north end to provide a unique and exceptional experience. Imagine being amongst 6,000 enthusiastic runners and walkers making their way along Maynard Street deep into these iconic neighborhoods. SCOTIABANK FULL MARATHONThe Scotiabank Full Marathon begins at 9:00 am in downtown Halifax on Brunswick Street at the START-FINISH LINE, located near the Halifax Metro Centre and the historic Town Clock located on Citadel Hill. VOLKSWAGEN HALF MARATHONThe Volkswagen Half Marathon begins at 9:25 am in downtown Halifax at the START LINE, located near the corner of Prince and Brunswick Street adjacent to the Halifax Metro Centre and the historic Town Clock located on Citadel Hill. THE CHRONICLE HERALD 10K RACEThe Chronicle Herald 10K route will begin at 9.10am in downtown Halifax at the START LINE, located near the corner of Prince and Brunswick Street adjacent to the Halifax Metro Centre and the historic Town Clock located on Citadel Hill. BEN’S SMART 5K RUN -WalkThe Ben's SMART 5K Run-Walk route will start at 10.00am in downtown at the START LINE, located near the corner of Prince and Brunswick Street adjacent to the Halifax Metro Centre and the historic Town Clock located on Citadel Hill. DOCTORS NOVA SCOTIA YOUTH RUNThe Youth Run route is an interesting figure eight design in downtown Halifax. The run, not officially timed, will start at 11:00am in downtown Halifax. The START LINE is located near the corner of Prince and Brunswick Street adjacent to the Halifax Metro Centre and the historic Town Clock located on Citadel Hill. |
