RACE WEEKEND EVENTS
Race Weekend for Scotiabank Blue Nose Marathon is FAR more than simply participating in one of the five distance events of your choice. "Myles", our ever-present mascot, has prepared a special three-day series of events designed to provide you, your family and your friends with one great experience after another. The highlights are:

Saturday May 19, 2012 8:00am - 10:00am Final race kit pick up for the Doctors Nova Scotia Youth Run. Visit the WTCC and then quickly make your way up to Sackville Street (near Brunswick Street) for the start of the Youth Run race at 11am. If you've left your kit pick up until Saturday morning, please come to WTCC early... you will be joining approximately 3,500 young, enthusiastic runners.

Blue Nose Pasta Village
Shaped by the spirit of an Italian bistro, Blue Nose Pasta Village returns for 2012. Pasta Village will be hosted at the WTCC providing a large informal atmosphere with a special vibe. The menu will feature several varieties of pasta and sauce along with all the traditional fixings for your pre-race carbo loading pleasure. Tickets are $17.50 for adults and $7.50 for kids (U15) and can be purchased any time onliine during the registration process or during the GoodLife FITNESS Expo on Friday May 18 or Saturday May 19. 7:00 SPECIAL NOTICE TO FAMILY AND FRIENDS....access to the floor of HMC is through the north side off Duke Street. Please use the large 'bus' door at that location, thereby leaving the south entrance off Carmichael Street for use by the participants. 6:00 - 8:00am ONLY Pre-Race Mixer + Runner Bag Storage Final race kit pick up is available on the floor of HMC. Sorry, no race registration is permitted on Sunday morning! To pick up your kit, please come early to avoid the crush of the 8,000 other participants. Also visit us at Halifax Metro Centre to safely store your 'day bag' while you're off conquering the streets of Halifax and Dartmouth. Upon your 'glorious return' to HMC, come see us again to retrieve your bag.
10 LifeMark Physiotherapy & Massage Centre Located on the floor of HMC, make sure you check this out! After your run is over, sign up with the good folks at LifeMark for a post-race massage! Also located on the floor of HMC, you arrive here immediately after crossing the finish line up which is located on Brunswick Street. Lots of fluids and carbo reloading, as well as restorative goodness from our friends at Chocolate Milk, are available along with numerous special services, such as the LifeMark Physiotherapy & Massage Centre and of course, the opportunity to watch the 'live video feed' off Brunswick Street directly into the HMC Silvervision entertainment centre. Check out your race results and if you're a race winner, we'll make sure you receive your very special NovaScotian Crystal award! Look for the 2nd and 3rd place finisher awards, at the Awards Pick Up table. 7:00pm - 12 midnight Molson Post Race Party

EXPO and Registration/Race Kit Pick Up areas located on the 2nd level at the World Trade & Convention Centre (WTCC). You will be energized, motivated and informed by visiting our 60+ booth GoodLife Fitness EXPO while you're on-site to pick up your Race Kit.

And of course, being hospitable Maritimers, we're throwing a big-time After-Party. Presented by Molson Coors, you'll enjoy fabulous dance and party music from 103FM the Bounce and their celebrity DJ. Speaking of music, following up on the outstanding success of the Barra MacNeil's last year, our friends at CBC are hard at work pulling together a live entertainment show to "take it up a notch". Stay tuned for more exciting news on this one! Plus, make sure you're there for the screening of the weekend's amazing Event Video and some snazzy prize draws.
