COURSE INFORMATION
Pending Civic Approvals and final Official Measurement
The Ben's SMART 5KRun-Walk route will start at 10:00am in downtown at the START LINE, located near the corner of Prince and Brunswick Street adjacent to the Halifax Metro Centre and the historic Town Clock located on Citadel Hill.
Starting the race, proceed along Brunswick Street, turn right (west) on Sackville Street, around the base of Citadel Hill by turning right on Bell Road and right again on Ahern Avenue, passing by the new Citadel High School until reaching the corner of Ahern and Cogswell.
• Turn right (east) for two blocks on Cogswell Street
• Turn left (north) onto Maynard Street
• The route will then continue on Maynard to Bloomfield Street
• Turn right taking you to Gottingen Street.
• Turning right on Gottingen proceeding north to Uniacke Street,
• Turn left on Uniacke to Brunswick Street
• Turn right on Brunswick and proceed through one of Halifax's oldest and most historic neighbourhoods, back to the Town Clock area and the FINISH LINE!
Approaching the finish line, watch for yourself on the large video screen on the outside of the
Halifax Metro Centre and listen as the race announcer calls out your name. Very cool.
