Thousands of runners and walkers once again laced up their sneakers and took to the streets of Halifax this weekend to mark the fifth anniversary of the Blue Nose International Marathon.

DOCTORS NOVA SCOTIA LAUNCHES YOUTH RUN PARTICIPATION PRIZES
April 4, 2008 (Halifax, NS) - Students that take part in the Blue Nose International Marathon now have a chance to help out their school. Doctors Nova Scotia today, April 4, launched a school participation prize program during an event at Le Marchant St. Thomas Elementary School in Halifax.

Wearing wacky blue noses and giant clown shoes, 25 awkward sprinters competed today in a foot race to mark the start of training for the 5th annual Blue Nose International Marathon and race weekend.
